Just because you are a Minister doesn’t mean you know what you are talking about

20 May

This week we have had Michael Gove (Minister, Education) telling us we should thank his government for building on the countryside.  Now we have planning minister Nick Boles telling us:

When talking about neighbourhood planning in the early days, maybe a fault of the Government was allowing people to believe they could do what they want, when in reality it has always been about how things will be delivered, not what would be delivered. However, I do genuinely believe that in twenty years’ time, people will look back and say this policy was a real game changer for getting people involved in their local area”.

I’ve decided to become a surgeon.  After all, I use scissors and a needle and thread, so, why not?  It makes just about as much sense as letting these people run the country!

… and lets not forget that Nick Boles spent his childhood in the East Devon Countryside. Maybe he has some bad memories of the area ….
