Get your written questions in for the next Cabinet meeting – 8 January 5.30 pm – includes 2014/2015 Budget notes

1 Jan

If you want to be certain of having your question read (not necessarily answered) at the next Cabinet meeting, get them in to EDDC as quickly as possible.  Cabinet agenda is HERE.

One controversial item seems to be the restructuring of the Countryside Team (which appears to mean downsizing it).  Given its responsibilities for various nature reserves, tree preservation orders and the like.  this seems to show an even greater emphasis on “growth” (i.e. housing estates and industrial units) at the expense of our countryside.

It includes the first draft of the outline budget for 2014-2015 which needs careful reading, as always.

Question for those with slightly less blurry heads this afternoon? Having read this document, can anyone point me to the exact page where total staff numbers 13/14 are posted against proposed staff numbers for 14/15. I am sure it is in there somewhere, but for the life of me ( and in my defence I was still DJ’ing at 3am ) I can’t see it….Nice that the post of secretary to the chairman has been reinstated though… Take a letter, Miss Brahms!!! cough cough… Oh, young Mr Grace!!!

I’m sure the Chief Executive or Chief Finance Officer would be happy to answer that written question!
