“It’s not your job to be reasonable …”

Jerry Hayes, former Tory MP, has written a memoir of his time in Parliament.  And, given earlier posts today, this comment from Norman Tebbitt to Jerry Hayes, who had the temerity to suggest that pensioners should be treated better got this riposte according to Hayes is particularly pertinent:

‘It’s not your job  to be reasonable. Your job is to unquestioningly support your leader and your party, in that order.’
