They considered wind turbines? Sounds more like “well, think yourselves lucky we didn’t do something even more ugly”!

There really is no AONB in East Devon any longer except the jealously guarded Blackdown Hills.

One could be forgiven for thinking that EDDC are in the everlasting debt of Clinton Devon estates following EDDC’s purchase of the restrictive seafront covenants from CDE judging from the way they suck up to CDE. This decision will seriously affect the existing farm tenants who, contrary to suggestions as to the contrary, have never farmed sheep in the affected fields.
These days, the running of Clinton Devon estates seems to be based on the Sheriff of Nottingham model.

Isn’t it outside the AONB and going to power the business park? Did they really say that wind turbines were considered? Wind speeds there are not as great as further towards the NW – far better for solar – out of sight and using power for a daytime use. But, a wind turbine or turbines on the Goodmores farm sight could make sense – and power the daytime community buildings and proposed school and supermarket.

Fantastic news for Exmouth – solar park approved! Sanity restored for those of us concerned about the planet and future generations.

Great news as Exmouth reporter says. We need more solar as it works well in Devon and Cornwall. Exmouth may get new applications from other landowners and I hope that they will get the green light. Forward thinking for our grandchildren…
